BEST C-WORK
OF THEY DAY!
Camilla and Mezzrow's Pushkin competed IPO-3 at the German Shepherd Club Såtenäs yesterday. The result was 73-81-96 and best C-work of the day! CONGRATULATIONS!

HURRAY FOR
MARIA AND ISKRA!
... who competed high class search at Roslagens BK today got the high score of 446.5 points. It rained all day thou Iskra was at her best and finished third out of nine starters. CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations also to Mezzrow's Pushkin who became 2nd best male in Rättvik today and Mezzrow’s Java’s daughter Diragos Ikara Colt got CAC.

SALUKI
WEEKEND!
This weekend I was the Secretary of Swedish Saluki Club breeding conference. Impressive number of participants, some 80 from Sweden, Norway and Finland took part in the symposium wich lasted two days. It was very interesting to hear their ambitious program with many qualified lecturers.
Our puppies have now left us and installed in their new homes. Everything has gone well and we wish the new owners the best of luck!

Norwegian Kennel Club International show in Tromsø: CACIB and BOS went to Ch Mezzrow's Jutas (Maximus) Congratulations Marita! We are also pleased to hear that Anja and Kriegerhof Una-Unita took her third CAC, CACIB and BOB and finished her Norwegian championship today! Congratulations! At the same show was Marita’s and Anja’a puppies Aeon Flux v Zentionor (Dame: Mezzrow’s Pricilla) BOB and Mezzrow's Cashmir BOS.
Another who did well in Norway today is Supreme Guardian's Black Eros (a son of Mezzrow's Fabio) who passed IPO-1 (90-80-90)

4 CAC FOR
PUMA IN GERMANY
This weekend was the prestigious title show Bundessieger in Dortmund, Germany. From us was Mia and Ch Mezzrow's Puma. Friday was the National show. Puma was the winner of the working class and best black bitch, and she got both the Club-CAC and VDH-CAC! At Bundessiger on Sunday Puma once again was the winner of working class and finally 4th best black bitch! From that day they got 2 new VDH-CAC. CONGRATULATIONS!

ICE COLD DAY
I judged obedience class at Örebro Working Club today and was about to freeze to death. 18 dogs, including 9 dogs in elite class takes its time... It was cold and windy, I seems it’s time to bring up the warm winter jacket now. Autumn comes as a surprise every year. Afterwards I took out Power for a real workout, which made him happy and excited.
The puppies turned 4 weeks today and now they think that the kitchen is the house's best room. Yet they are not eating much of the puppy food, mother's milk is still the best!

LECTURE
ABOUT DNA TESTS
Today I was at a very interesting full-day lecture on how to use DNA tests to identify the genes that cause diseases and / or defects in our dogs. Nicolette Salmon Hilbertz is the name of the scientist holding the exciting lecture. She researches in molecular genetics and how disorders are inherited, and she has been involved in several projects in the dog. We were told how she found the gene that causes Dermoid sinus in Rhodesian ridgeback. Research is ongoing in both England and Germany to find the gene (or genes, it may be more) which cause heart disease in Dobermans. In the future, we may with a simple test be able to determine which individuals carry the disease gene. The Kennel Club was the organizer of the lecture.

POWER
CHAMPION TODAY
Power entered a national show in Lindesberg today. Judge was the dobermann specialist and chairman of the Swedish Dobermann Club, Thord Byström. 27 dobermanns entered all together. Power got the CAC, his third CAC! - and is now SWEDISH CHAMPION! Power was as easy to show today as earlier, he has got a lot of temperament and is always trotting with a strong drive. This was his third show ever and we are very proud of him getting champion in only three shows. He ended up as 2 best male.

Next dog for me to show was Mezzrow’s Morton (open class). He got excellent and was 3 best male. He is 2 years old now and has developed to a real male.

Our breeders group with the four got Honor Price but we didn’t stay til the final, we were hungry and went off to a restaurant for a good meal.

BOB at this show was the Latvian bitch Remijaguare Arabica Joline (1 place open class IDC 2008) and BOS was the Russian male Smart Wood Hills Lexus.

Mezzrow’s Puma, finished her swedish championship a week ago. Now she’s already Finnish Champion too, She entered an international show in Åland, Finland today and she got the CAC and the new titel!

Voodoo delivered her babies today. Only 2, one boy and one girl. Both black and strong and healthy.

AT TRACKING TRIALS
Mezzrow’s Bison, Mezzrow’s Zizanie and Mezzrow’s Pax. All three approved, Bison and Ziz in class 2, Pax in class 1. The tracks in class 2 have a length of 1200 meters and are 80-100 minutes old, class 1 is 1000 meter and is 60-80 minutes old. Forrest terrain. An obedience program is included as well.

Today it was Mezzrow’s Macey and her owner Anneli that tried a competition - obedience class 1.The rain was pouring down all day and Macey wasn’t at her very best under these circumstances, but at least they have made their first competition!

MAXIMO APPROVED
AT TRACKING TRIAL
Mezzrow’s Maximo and his owner Lennart made the ”appell class” tracking trial today. That is the beginner class and the track is 300 meter, 2 angles and 3 pieces of wood. The obedience program contains 3 min laying down on a line with other dogs, heel at leash and a lot of other things. He did well and was approved.

BEST IN SHOW!
Congratulatons to Anja och Mezzrow’s Cashmir for being Best In Show at show in Mo i Rana in Norway today. Best in Show was judged by the german breed specialist Hassi Assenmacher-Feyel. In her opinion Cashmir is heading for a great future.

2 NEW OBEDIENCE RESULTS

WOLAND HAS GOT HIS TITEL
Woland has got the titel Korad! He did very well at the conformation part today.
Zooma is now back home. I feared she would be in a bad shape, but she looked fine and happy inspite of the two weeks at hospital. She was loved and cared for by all of the staff so she hadn’t had a too bad time ther. The paw is better but not well at all. It doesn’t smell any longer at least. We continue to give her cortisone and antibiotic. It’s an inflammation, not an infection, the origin is still unknown.

A WEEK
WITHOUT ZOOMA
Since last Friday Zooma has been at the veterinary hospital ”Blå Stjärnan” (The Blue Star) in Gothenburg. They have given her infected paw intensive care in an effort to stop the infection. Amputating a toe is no longer a solution. They phone me almost every day to tell about the progress - or rather the lack of progress. She doesn’t have to be in a kennel all the time, because she is such a nice and calm girl they let her walk freely in the staff room most of the time with a lot of dog chews to cheer her up.
We all suffer from the situation and wish the next call will tell us she is getting better. But so far no change.

CACIB SHOW KÖPING:
POWER BEST MALE AGAIN
Home again from a wonderful weekend with my motor caravan. Gillian and Power were with me, Power loves this car! Saturday was the Swedish Kennel Club’s International CACIB Show in Köping. Four Mezzrow dogs were entering, our Power, but also Mythos, Manda and Puma. Judge was Nemanja Jovanovic from Serbia and he must have liked our high tempered dogs, all of them were graded excellent. Power was BEST MALE, got CACIB and his second CAC. Mythos won the youth class and ended up as second best male.
Power’s sister Puma was number two in working class, after a beautiful red russian bitch from Finland with the name of Smart Wood Hills Maserati Mistral and she finished her international championship today. Manda was the winner of youth class females and ended third best bitch behind the russian BOB and Puma number two.
We showed a breeder’s group with the four and we got an honor price, but refrained the big final later. I was going further to the city Västerås where the Swedish Collie Club had a big breed show Sunday and I should judge the obedience trials.
